The venue

The main venue for the summer school is the Manda Clarke School of Dancing, Irnham Road, Minehead, Somerset TA24 5DW.

Minehead is about 22 miles west of Taunton (A358/A39) or Bridgwater (A39).  Minehead is well signposted from both Taunton and Bridgwater. 

If you are travelling on the M5 from the north we would recommend that you turn off at junction 23 which avoids the centre of Bridgwater.  Junction 24 takes you through Bridgwater, and junction 25 through Taunton. 

If you are travelling on the M5 from the south we recommend you turn off at junction 26, which avoids the centre of Taunton.  Follow the A38 signposted to Taunton, parallel to the motorway, until you pick up signs to Minehead and the A358.

From London you can travel via M4/M5 or to minimise motorway driving go M3/A303 (lovely view of Stone Henge along the way).

The venue is in the town of Minehead, a few minutes walk from the high street with shops and cafés.  There is a park just behind the studio, and the beach is a few minutes' walk away, as is the steam railway station.  Exmoor and woodland walks are just a few minutes' drive away.  Locals will be on hand at the summer school to advise.  Any other venues used will be in walking distance of the main venue.
